RAM brings people together to see, experience and understand the world of art and technology in new ways.

The heart of RAM: Rethinking Art and Machine is art’s power to humanize technology. It is a new model of exhibition – a living exhibition in a constant state of renewal and transformation because at the very core of art and technology is the evolution of its theme and subject matter. In tracing the natural progression of art and technology over time, RAM creates a richer overall conversation. This is what makes RAM unique.

The Artists of RAM have pushed the artistic boundaries of their time, using the computer as their primary tool. They have laid a historical foundation of work, but their practices continue to reflect changes in the trajectory of technology. The RAM artists’ work is the fruit of their deeply personal vision, and tells the stories of their mentors, muses, life experiences, and passions. They are artists, but also engineers, musicians, intellectuals, and more. It is this human complexity that humanizes their computer-based art.
